The Big Ask in Whitchurch

27 October 2007

Cardiff Friends of the Earth campaigners visited Whitchurch in Cardiff to spread the message about the damage climate change was doing to the planet. This is part of The Big Ask campaign to get a strong and effective Climate Change Law.

We asked members of the public to send postcards to Julie Morgan MP. The cards asked her to support improvements to the Government's Climate Change Bill.

We got a good reception from the Saturday morning shoppers who were keen to send postcards to their MP. Many of the older people said that they were concerned about the affect that climate change would have on their children and grandchildren unless action was taken now to stop it.

Despite the cold weather there was a good turn-out of members and we were encouraged by the response we got when talking to people.
