Friends of the Earth took a giant white elephant to Parliament when we presented a petition signed by tens of thousands of supporters for a safe, nuclear-free future.

A recent poll showed that 75 per cent of people in the UK think renewable power and energy saving are the real answers to our energy needs.

The Government's Energy Bill is its chance to make a real difference.
