Western Power Distribution (WPD) have decided to drain Llanishen Reservoir so they can 'inspect a pipe' which runs under the reservoir. This was recommended by a dam engineer paid by WPD in May 2008. Another dam engineer paid by Llanishen RAG, a campaign group opposed to WPD's efforts to build on the site, found that the pipe to be inspected was encased in concrete making an external inspection impossible.

Preparations are complete for the drain-down of the reservoir. Please sign the petition to stop WPD draining the reservoir.
