We have made substantial progress since our last update on the Energy Bill.
After pressure from you - and our allies in groups like Greenpeace, 38 Degrees and Oxfam - David Cameron has finally accepted recommendations from the Committee on Climate Change for tougher cuts in UK greenhouse gases.
We are still concerned by some of the get-out clauses and the Government still has to tell Parliament how it's going to meet the new lower carbon emission limit.
You have helped us to make significant progress. This is not the only impact you're having.
Your efforts have forced the scandal of cold rented homes to the top of the political agenda. The Government has now announced a new law to tackle this issue.
All of you who took action on these issues deserve a big pat on the back for what we have achieved so far. But the job isn't finished yet. it's vital to keep pushing the Government to get it right for people and for the planet.
Thank you for your efforts and we look forward to continuing to work with you.
