This action is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Come and grill your politicians on climate change! We have organised a question-time style Halloween event to talk to our politicians about the international climate talks in Copenhagen this December.

31 October 2009, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, 1st floor meeting room, The Old Library, The Hayes, Cardiff.

Daran Hill from Positif Politics will Chair the event.

Speakers will include:

  • Raoul Bhambral, Cardiff Friends of the Earth
  • Jenny Willott, Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central
  • Karen Robson, Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate for Cardiff Central
  • Jenny Rathbone, Labour prospective parliamentary candidate for Cardiff Central
  • Jill Evans, Plaid Cymru MEP for Wales.

December 2009 could well be make-or-break for efforts to tackle climate change. The climate talks in Copenhagen may or may not reach a fair and sufficient international agreement to cut carbon emissions.

This will have an impact on all areas of Cardiff so please come along. Cardiff Friends of the Earth is organising Trick or Treat - a Question-Time style event for the people of Cardiff to ask questions about what we want to see happen. We have invited speakers from Cardiff to answer questions about what they think should happen at Copenhagen.

Cardiff Friends of the Earth wants a Treat - a fair deal that genuinely puts the brakes on carbon emissions. We don't want an agreement that includes carbon off-setting. This is a business-as-usual Trick and won't lead to real emission cuts.
