The UN climate change talks will take place in Durban, South Africa from 29 November to 9 December 2011.

Time is running out for an ambitious global deal on climate change to be agreed, as the Kyoto Protocol is due to end next year. We urgently need a follow-on agreement if we are to keep emissions under control and avoid the catastrophic effects of climate change.

We want the Government to:

Insulating homes saves money and lives.

Homes that are badly insulated and poorly heated make people ill, contribute to climate change and cost a fortune to heat.

Over 4 million households now live in fuel poverty (when you can't afford to heat your home to a reasonable standard). This includes the old, the poor, students and the disabled.

On the evening of Monday 20 June 2011 The Opera Group will perform Seven Angels at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.

The opera by this award winning young company is about a post climate change world visited by seven angels on a fact-finding mission. Cardiff Friends of the Earth will have a stall at the performance.

Members of Cardiff Friends of the Earth joined thousands of people around the world in calling on our leaders to wake up to climate change on 21 September. We were there for the first ever Climate Flashmob on Queen Street, Cardiff.
