The Great Big Green Week is a celebration of community action to tackle climate change. Every year, people up and down the country come together to show the heartfelt, brace, everyday actions being taken to stand up for nature and fight climate change.

This year Friends of the Earth Cardiff joined the celebration on the 8th of October, in Grangetown! We shared seed bombs, draft excluders and apples as well as discussed the energy crisis and climate action.
We also worked very closely with Orchard Cardiff - a not-for-profit community group who help people harvest, share and enjoy locally grown fruit in Cardiff. If you are ever interested in getting closer to nature by harvesting apples and enjoying some fresh apple juice, apple compote or apple rings, Orchard Cardiff is always looking for new volunteers and is hoping to expend their activities and outreach in 2023.
